The Libertarian National Committee (LNC) has decided to convene its 2020 National Convention in two sessions. On Friday May 22nd delegates will meet via the Zoom conferencing service. This is the first time the Libertarian Party will convene as a virtual convention. The online convention delegates will select the 2020 Libertarian Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees.
The second session of the national convention calls for delegates to meet in person in Orlando, Florida in July.
The Libertarian convention had originally been scheduled for May 21-25 in Austin, Texas. The venue cancelled the event due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.
Delegates and alternates will be advised regarding the new protocols for participating in the sessions.
