Libertarians are going to Fancy Farm again in 2017. We’ll have an RV, a booth, and speaking on our behalf will be National Chairman Nicholas Sarwark.
If you’ve never been to Fancy Farm, here’s a quick run-down. It’s a Catholic Church festival (in a dry county, so no alcohol). Politicians have been speaking at the picnic for a very long time. Somewhere along the way, it became a bare-knuckle verbal boxing match (with no swearing). That tradition continues today. And who, in the LP, is better at laying down some savage truth than our Chairman?
This series of events will take place on Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th.
If you’re traveling in from out of town, we recommend coming in on Friday night and joining us at our other events. Stay at a hotel in the Murray, Kentucky area. Don’t wait to get your hotel room or else you might be left without a room.
In addition to the picnic itself, we will have two fundraising events in conjunction with this event. Proceeds go to cover the cost of travel for Chairman Sarwark’s travel.
Friday Night Fundraiser – August 4th
An evening with Chairman Sarwark prior to the Fancy Farm festivities. Dinner is included (alcoholic beverages are extra). Event opens at 6:30PM Central Time and dinner is served at 7PM Central Time.
Fancy Farm Friday Night Fundraiser – Basic Admission $55 (or $100 for couples)
Fancy Farm Friday Night Fundraiser – Head Table $100 (limit of 7)
The dinner will be held at Carr’s Steakhouse, located at 213 W Broadway St, Mayfield, KY 42066.
Saturday Fancy Farm Picnic – August 5th
This event is free to the public. Show up and help show that we’re the political force that we are. The location is St. Jerome’s Parish, Fancy Farm, KY.
Setup starts around 11AM Central Time. Political speeches begin at 2PM Central Time. Teardown and cleanup will happen around 4:30PM. Libertarians have, in recent years, cleaned up the mess left by the supporters of the Old Parties as well.
