Coronavirus has proven to be dangerous and will become more so thanks to the federal government. A nasty combination of government action, inaction and incompetence is making the pandemic worse. Red tape and regulations enforced by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Medicare will contribute to the deaths of thousands of Americans. Medicare’s licensing requirements caused researchers to stop testing samples that had already been gathered in Washington state, delaying the process of reporting the disease. CDC restrictions on “approved” tests prevented capable, non-government laboratories from creating their own tests. Politicians are patting themselves on the back for “cooperating” to spend trillions of taxpayer dollars on top of a record deficit. If the federal government would get out of the way the free market would be more creative, much faster, and ultimately effective in protecting us. The federal government is killing us in the name of protecting us. Wash your hands with soap. It is brought to you by the free market. It’s a Libertarian thing.
